Mtirala National Park - rainforest and picnic

Overview

Mtirala means 'crying mountain' - the park gets over 4 meters of rain a year, making it one of the wettest places in Europe. The rainforest is dense, prehistoric, and full of waterfalls. We hike to the main waterfall and swimming hole, picnic by the river, and walk through the colchic forest. Bring shoes you can swim in.
