Overview
A full day in Adjara's capital. We start with the seafront boulevard and the dolphinarium, then walk through the old town and the modern monuments. After lunch we drive south to Gonio Apsaros - the 2000-year-old Roman fortress on the coast - then continue to Sarpi where Georgia ends and Turkey begins. You can dip your feet in the sea on both sides of the border.
